Attention grades 7, 8, 9 and 10!

Including technology in the classroom is mandatory as per the educational standards we follow at ACIS.

Therefore, for our French classes, students are required to download an app called DUO LINGO on their mobile phones, laptops, or IPads to work on daily in the classroom and at home (minimum 30 minutes a day), and bring them to class.

Using the app is mandatory; it will count for 20% of quarter 4's grade as a quarter project.

Downloading the app requires internet, but using it to practice can be done offline. 

By next Sunday, April 29th, every student must have downloaded and used the app.

Students will be quizzed on the content regularly.

- If you do not have everything in your copybook, or if you forget your copybook the day of the copybook check, you will get a 0. NO EXCEPTIONS.

It's ok if you make mistakes, but it's not OK to use Google Translate. (I will know! If you do, you will get a big fat 0!)

Bonjour à nouveau!

Hoping that you had a wonderful winter vacation, I would like to welcome you to a second semester of French at ACC!

In this new semester, we will learn to communicate and express ourselves effectively on many aspects of daily life in French. We will expand our knowledge with many new topics and readings, and we will enrich our vocabulary as much as possible. We will do a lot of comprehension. We will read more about France and its culture.

The theme for Semester 2 (Quarters 3 and 4) is THEATER.

So a lot of reading, a lot of acting out, singing and role-playing... a fun semester ahead!
