- You have to be able to translate a paragraph in which a young adult is answering these questions about himself (from English to French).

REVISION TOPICS

All homework sheets, copybook notes, quizzes, and classwork sheets need to be revised.

• Conversation (Questions and answers: name, age, birthday, condition/state, naionality = de quelle nationalite es-tu? Je suis Egyptien-ne)

• Verbes avoir and être and what we use them for (having something, age, describing)

• School objects vocabulary (including the articles un/une/le/la/l'/les/des)

• Adjectives (only the ones we have covered)

• Les nombres + les jours + les mois (de 0 à 31) and how to write La date (day + date + month)

• La famille: vocabulary (members)

• Questions about the family (how to ask about the name, age and birthday of someone else - ex: comment s'appelle ton pere? Il s'appelle Hussein; quel age a ta mere? Elle a quarante ans).

• "Je veux" (things you want to do: ONLY THE FOLLOWING: to sleep, to eat, to play, to go out with friends, to travel, to become a doctor/engineer/ business man-woman/ a profession you want to become.)

• Feelings/Emotions/Condition (ONLY THE FOLLOWING: scared, hungry, upset, tired, sick, sad, happy, I'm cold, hot, thirsty = j'ai peur, j'ai faim, je suis fache, je suis fatigue, je suis malade, je suis triste, je suis contente, j'ai froid, j'ai chaud, j'ai soif).
  
• SHEET: Je me presente (p.30.31)... (the paragraphs about the population of France, and the 7 different people living in France - understand the text and info and vocabulary and be able to answer comprehension questions)
  
• SHEET: La France et L'Europe (text about France and Paris, study all the info to answer comprehension questions)
  
• My favorite things (mes choses preferees = ALL questions and answers, ex: quelle est ta couleur preferee? ma couleur preferee est le noir)
  
• Animals (ONLY THE FOLLOWING: le chien, le chat, le singe, le serpent, l'oiseau, la poule, le loup, le lapin, l'araignee, l'abeille, le cheval, l'ane, la vache, le canard, le poisson).
  
• SHEET: Faisons Connaissance (p.4-5): the paragraphs about "l'ecole, les matieres preferees, quand je n'etudie pas, mon reve...) - the latest sheet we worked on. Comprehension of paragraphs + you have to be able to write a paragraph about yourself answering these questions.
  
  WRITING 
• You have to be able to write am essay in which you present yourself: name, age, birthday, condition/state, nationality, adjectives describing you, what you want to become, how you are feeling (emotion), what you want to do, the school you go to, your favorite subjects, what you do when you're not studying, what you dream is, some of your favorite things (in the first person, je) = an essay combining all lessons in which you have learned to talk about yourself.
  
• You have to be able to write a paragraph in the third person (il/elle) about a family member including his name, age, birthday, nationality, adjective.
  
• Just like the text about France, you have to be able to understand a text about any other country and answer comprehension questions about it, and possibly write a paragraph following the same format.
